Professional pool leak detection and repair in Naples

Naples pools often include spas, water features, sheer descents and automation. Every extra feature adds plumbing lines and fittings that can leak, so we test each feature on its own rather than guessing.

We serve Naples and the rest of Collier County, including communities along the Vanderbilt Beach, Pine Ridge and Golden Gate corridors.

Pool services in Naples

Why pools leak in Naples

Naples pools are often larger and more complex than average, with attached spas, water features, sheer descents, fire bowls, in-floor cleaning and automation. Every feature adds lines and fittings that can leak. Coastal neighborhoods also deal with salt air and storm damage, while inland communities see settling around newer decks and pavers.

How we find leaks on Naples pools

We test each feature separately: spa, water features, main pool lines and the main drain. Then we dive the pool to dye test fittings, lights and the tile line. On high-end pavers and travertine decks, accurate location matters, so we use a hydrophone to pinpoint the break before anything is lifted.

Buying a home with a pool in Naples?

Naples buyers often inherit complex pool systems with no service history. A pre-sale pool inspection checks every piece of equipment, the automation and the plumbing, and gives you a repair quote to use before closing. About pre-sale pool inspections

Recent job: a skimmer throat leak an autofill was hiding

A Naples pool kept running low even though it had an autofill. The autofill was tied into the skimmer, and it simply couldn't add water as fast as the pool was losing it. Our leak tech found the leak at the skimmer throat, where the skimmer meets the tile.

When our repair crew opened it up, both sides of the throat had deteriorated and left a gap behind the tile. They packed the void with hydraulic cement and refinished the throat. If your autofill runs all the time, or the pool still drops with one hooked up, have it checked for a leak.

Recent job: 7 leaking spa jets on a Naples pool and spa

Attached spas are common in Naples, and their jets are a frequent leak point. On this pool and spa, the plumbing passed, but the dye test found water escaping around 7 of the 8 spa jets. Every one had been patched with epoxy at some point. Epoxy slows a leak like this but doesn't stop it for good, so the jets need a proper fitting repair.

Recent job: leak detection on a fiberglass pool

Fiberglass pools leak too. On this Naples fiberglass pool, both sides of the plumbing passed, and the dye test found two leaks: one in an encased skimmer throat and one around a return fitting. An encased skimmer is set in concrete around the fiberglass shell, which makes the repair a bigger job than a standard skimmer.

Naples pool leak questions

Can you find leaks in an attached spa or water feature?

Yes. Attached spas and water features are on our repair list. We isolate and test them separately from the main pool.

Do you serve all of Collier County?

We serve Naples and Collier County communities. Call (239) 533-5935 to confirm your address.

How much does pool leak detection cost?

Pro Pool Team leak detection starts at $295. Price depends on pool size, features such as spas and water features, and how complex the plumbing is. Larger or more complex pools can cost more. You get a written report, and if we do the repair, we take 5% off the repair quote, up to the cost of your leak detection.

How much water loss is normal for a pool in Florida?

Evaporation in Southwest Florida usually runs about 1/8 to 1/4 inch per day, depending on sun, wind and heat. If your pool drops more than that, or your service tech keeps adding salt and stabilizer, you likely have a leak.

Does a pool leak detection company need a Florida license?

Yes. In Florida, removing main drain covers and pool lights for testing requires a state pool contractor license, and the license number starts with CPC. A complete leak detection checks the drains and lights. Pro Pool Team holds license CPC1460553. You can verify any contractor on the Florida DBPR license lookup.
