Professional pool leak detection and repair in Estero

Estero is mostly gated and golf communities with pools from the 1990s onward. Those pools are reaching the age where skimmers, lights and underground lines start to leak.

We serve Estero homeowners, HOAs and property managers between Fort Myers and Bonita Springs.

Pool services in Estero

Why pools leak in Estero

Most Estero pools are in gated and golf communities built from the 1990s on. Those pools are now old enough that original skimmers, lights and underground lines are starting to fail. Many also have attached spas and screen enclosures, which add more plumbing and can make access to the deck tighter.

How we find leaks on Estero pools

We check the equipment, plumbing test each line including the spa, and dive the pool to dye test fittings and the tile line. We coordinate with the HOA or property manager when a dig is needed.

Buying a home with a pool in Estero?

Estero buyers often purchase seasonal homes that sat empty for months. A pre-sale pool inspection shows whether the pool has been losing water and what needs fixing. About pre-sale pool inspections

Recent job: a cracked skimmer hiding under an old patch

An Estero homeowner was planning a pool remodel and wanted the leaks found first. Our leak tech's dye test led to the skimmer: the body was badly cracked and had been patched before. With the water low it held, but once the water came up to normal level it would leak. A crack that bad can't be patched for good, so we recommended a new skimmer.

We also found that the main drain, a light niche ring and the spa light had all been epoxied at some point, and a few fittings were starting to deteriorate. We suggested chipping those out and resealing them properly during the remodel, while the pool is already drained.

Our repair crew came back, lowered the water a few thousand gallons, dug out the deck around the skimmer and set a new skimmer, leveled so it skims evenly. Then the pool could be refilled to its normal level without losing water.

Estero pool leak questions

Is Estero in your service area?

Yes. We serve Estero and the rest of Lee County.

Can you work with my HOA or property manager?

Yes. We share the leak detection report with whoever needs it.

How much does pool leak detection cost?

Pro Pool Team leak detection starts at $295. Price depends on pool size, features such as spas and water features, and how complex the plumbing is. Larger or more complex pools can cost more. You get a written report, and if we do the repair, we take 5% off the repair quote, up to the cost of your leak detection.

How much water loss is normal for a pool in Florida?

Evaporation in Southwest Florida usually runs about 1/8 to 1/4 inch per day, depending on sun, wind and heat. If your pool drops more than that, or your service tech keeps adding salt and stabilizer, you likely have a leak.

Does a pool leak detection company need a Florida license?

Yes. In Florida, removing main drain covers and pool lights for testing requires a state pool contractor license, and the license number starts with CPC. A complete leak detection checks the drains and lights. Pro Pool Team holds license CPC1460553. You can verify any contractor on the Florida DBPR license lookup.
