Draining and cutting out the old skimmer
The crew drained about 3,000 gallons to get below the skimmer, then cut out the old skimmer and the deck around it.
Setting the new skimmer
The new skimmer was set level so it skims evenly at the right water line.
Plumbing test before closing up
Before closing it up, the crew ran a plumbing test on the lines to make sure they held.
Patching the deck
Then they patched the deck around the new skimmer lid.
For a skimmer replacement under pavers, see this Fort Myers paver deck job.
