Plumbing passed
There were no issues at the equipment, and both the suction side and the return side passed their plumbing tests. The sun shelf light was not working when we arrived.
The leak above the sun shelf light
During the dye test, dye pulled into a small hole in the pool surface directly above the sun shelf LED light. That is the leak, and it needs a proper repair. See how we repair pool light leaks.
Old repairs and a spot to watch
We found old epoxy in the skimmer throat and along a three foot vertical crack where the pool and spa meet. Neither was leaking, so they went on the quote as optional. There is also heavy wear around the main drain closest to the house. It is not leaking now, but it is worth watching.
Until the repair
We applied epoxy to the leaking spot to slow the loss, but the pool will keep losing some water until the proper repair is made.
