Finding the leak
Our leak tech checked the equipment, tested the plumbing and dye tested the pool and spa. The dye showed water leaking around both main drains in the spa floor.
A note on the skimmer
The skimmer throat had deep holes in the grout line. The water was too low to test it properly, so the tech filled the deepest holes with epoxy to help in the meantime.
Sealing the drains
Our repair crew came back and sealed both main drains. They installed new collars around each drain and applied new finish around them so the area is sealed back to the spa floor.
Refilling the spa
The crew set the valves so the spa would start refilling from the pool about an hour after the repair, giving the new finish time to set. No water had to be drained from the pool.
