Skimmer throat leak detection in Punta Gorda

This Punta Gorda pool has two skimmers, and both were leaking at the throat. We also found an unused skimmer port leaking into a line full of mud.

Two leaking skimmer throats

The dye test found both skimmer throats leaking, where the skimmers meet the pool wall. We patched them with epoxy to slow the water loss, but both need a proper repair.

An unused port

One skimmer had an unused port that was also leaking. The line behind it was full of mud and debris, so we plugged it with a cap.

Nothing else

We found no other leaks and no other areas of concern.
