Finding the leak
Both sides of the plumbing passed. The dye test found the leak in the skimmer throat, where the skimmer meets the pool wall. It was the only leak, and the skimmer needed to be replaced.
Removing the old skimmer
We lifted the travertine pavers around the skimmer and dug it out down to the plumbing.
The new skimmer
The new skimmer was set, plumbed into the suction line, and finished at the pool wall so the throat seals to the tile.
The pavers
We reset the 3 pavers we removed. Other pavers around the deck were sinking, which a paver company would need to reset.
