Removing the old skimmer
The crew prepped the area and broke out the concrete around the skimmer. The old skimmer was cracked, which is a common source of leaks.
The new skimmer
They plumbed in the new skimmer and sealed it, then tested the new plumbing to make sure it holds before anything was buried. The new throat at the pool wall was set and sealed to the pool.
New concrete
After backfilling, the crew poured and textured new concrete around the skimmer lid. We do our best to match the deck, but a new concrete patch will always show a little.
More than one day
Jobs like this can take more than one visit. On a multi-day repair, we tell you at the end of each day whether it's safe to start filling. Here the crew was coming back to finish, so the pool stayed as it was.
