A crack that came back
The dye test found the pool leaking from a 3 foot vertical crack in the shallow end. It had been patched with epoxy before, and the crack has grown since. Epoxy is a temporary patch. The proper fix is a real crack repair. See how we repair pool cracks.
Plumbing passed
Both the suction side and the return side passed their plumbing tests. The vacuum line had been cut and removed from the equipment. It held when we tested it and could be added back, but the suction side would need to be re-plumbed.
At the equipment
The spa jet check valve is bad, so water flows back from the spa into the pool when the pump is off. It needs to be replaced. The pump is very noisy and has been repaired before, so we recommend replacing it. The heater temperature sensor is not working and needs service from the heater maker.
At the spa spillover
The stone on the spa spillover is missing, and the grout between the glass blocks is breaking down. That is remodel work, not a leak repair, but a buyer should know about it. See our pre-sale pool inspections.
