Pool light leak repair · Sanibel Island

Pool light conduit leak detection on Sanibel

A Sanibel pool was losing water. Both plumbing tests passed, and the dye test found the leak at the pool light, around a cracked conduit line that had been patched before.

Plumbing ruled out

Both the suction side and the return side of the plumbing passed. The water was low, so a few areas could not be dye tested this visit. If the pool still loses water after the repair, we come back and test those spots.

A leak at the light

The leak is around a broken conduit line inside the pool light niche. It had been patched with epoxy before and was leaking again. The proper fix is to replace the light niche. See how we repair pool light leaks.

Other things we found

All three return fittings had been surfaced in place with epoxy around them. They are not leaking, but we recommend repairing them before they become a problem. The main drain cover was not secured properly and should be replaced.
